Curvelander Decks™  namesake came about one Autumn morning at a Denny's Restaurant in Bloomington, MN.  as Owner, Tom Lutterman, was discussing his latest Custom Deck projects with AJ LaFond. 
 
 Tom was explaining the unique curve (curvilinear) construction techniques he was using to AJ.  He stated that most homes had regular decks built for the common flat yards.  While others had land with flowing curves.  Tom distinguishes the two types of land as Flatlanders & Curvelanders.  Thus, AJ decided to call Toms Company CURVELANDER DECKS™ to coincide with the curvilinear deck designs & secured the name.
